Renowned television actress Shivangi Joshi left her fans worried when she posted a picture from a hospital bed. She had gone on to reveal that she had suffered kidney infection and was hospitalised to cure it. Days after sharing the social media post, on Tuesday, she hosted an Instagram live, where she shared an update on health. The actress revealed that she had to undergo surgery post her diagnosis and was discharged on Saturday.

The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame actress shared how she is feeling better now and resting at home. She went on to thank everyone for their well wishes and the doctor’s assistance. Shedding light on her improving health, Shivangi explained that she had a few more tests to be done before her doctor would stop her glucose drip. During her interaction with her fans, 24-year-old went on to reveal that she currently has a nurse to look after her medications, drip and everything at home. She will continue to do so until the actress is fully recovered. Shivangi went on to explain that as soon as she gets a clean chit from her doctors she will be rushing back to work.

ETimes quoted her saying, “I can't wait to go back to work. As soon as the drip gets removed I will rush to work. I have been missing the shoot and that vibe.”

She went on to shed light on her kidney ailment and warned fans to stay hydrated. She said, “Many fans asked me why I was drinking coconut water and water so let me clear it. I had a kidney infection. It wasn't a kidney failure. I would urge everyone to stay hydrated and keep having an ample amount of water. I realised this when my condition worsened due to my negligence in staying hydrated. I have now made it a point to take care of myself, drink more water and stay healthy.”


On the work front, after Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai she went on to star in Balika Vadhu 2. She will now be seen making a cameo appearance in Shalin Bhanot’s television show Bekaboo. It has been reported that she will also be playing a double role in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming show Beauty and Beast.
